About Midgleys
Midgleys is Lane County’s oldest continuously operating business. Since 1881, Midgleys has helped families with their homes, first with millwork, then evolving into a hearth store; selling, installing, and servicing fireplaces, fireplace inserts, and freestanding stoves. Midgleys is locally owned, family owned with a good work culture.

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and servant-minded Retail Sales Representative to join our team at Midgleys! As a Retail Sales Representative,  you will assist customers with their stove and fireplace needs and ensure an excellent experience.  You will need to be a good listener to determine their needs, then help them make decisions, and do your best to make it as simple as possible.  The desired candidate will have previous experience in sales and customer service. 

Responsibilities 
  • Greet each customer and provide assistance.
  • Answer the phone and direct them to the appropriate person.
  • Develop deep product knowledge
  • Help the customer through the buying and decision making process., in person, phone, and internet.
  • Develop and maintain solid product knowledge in order to best help customers with their selections.
  • Operate the POS and CRM
  • Make appointments for site evaluations.
  • Help customers with cash and carry purchases.
  • Willingness to work closely with fellow employees in a busy environment.
  • Develop relationships with builders and architects.
  • Create leads.
  • Follow up on leads and Proposals.
  • Create and develop sales strategies.
  • Be available for occasional site visits.
  • Be able to work Saturday

Qualifications
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Results oriented and driven mindset.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills, specifically solving customer's problems.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and professionalism.
  • 3 years minimum in direct sales.
  • Valid drivers license.
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
