About Midgleys
Midgleys is Lane County’s oldest continuously operating business. Since 1881, Midgleys has helped families with their homes, first with millwork, then evolving into a hearth store; selling, installing, and servicing fireplaces, fireplace inserts, and freestanding stoves. Midgleys is locally owned, family owned with a good work culture.

Job Summary
As the Journeyman Installer, you’ll be the lead with the ins-and-outs of installing gas, wood, and pellet stoves and fireplaces alongside an apprentice. You will travel across Lane County and beyond, adding both heat and ambiance to our client’s homes.  With this hire, we are looking for a competent tradesman.
 
 
Responsibilities 
  • Install stoves and fireplaces
  • Independently carry out tasks.
  • Assure proper installation practices, regulations, building codes, and industry standards
  • Collaborate with others to ensure high quality installations that pass all inspections
  • Record detailed information regarding jobs and their status 
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in working condition
  • Various warehouse tasks such as loading and unloading products
Qualifications
  • 2-year minimum experience.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s license and good driving record
  • Problem solving skills and ability to read and understand installation manuals and blueprints
  • Having good people skills
Additional Notes 
This position is for those who like working with their hands and are ok with hard, physical labor. This position is not recommended for those with claustrophobia or acrophobia. 
 
Compensation: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
